This listing is for a repair kit designed to fix fuel injector driver failures in BMW Siemens DME MSD80 and MSD81 Engine Control Units (ECU).
 
These DME units were used in many BMW vehicles from 2006–2013 equipped with the N54 or N54T 6-cylinder turbocharged engine. A common failure in these systems is the fuel injector MOSFET driver, which causes fuel delivery loss to one or more cylinders and results in engine misfires.
 
Each of the six fuel injectors is controlled by its own MOSFET (transistor). When one or more of these MOSFETs fail, the injector stops firing. Replacing the failed MOSFET(s) resolves the issue.
